Asmara and I return from the forum Forum
Yesterday night we returned from the International Forum of Lace and embroidery, dead tired but happy. At the forum there was an internet-point, so we had to keep all the excitement for us, and we could not share it day by day.
What can I say .... Wonderful!
up early Wednesday for almost all: who the four, who at five in the morning to catch the train at six. Pull faces, but also a lot of expectation.
And in the afternoon, just to work with the workshop. Scattered here and there, with different techniques, we have tried to keep my eyes open and be attentive to the good explanations. I made the Ars Panicalensis, or embroidery on tulle, and I loved it. In the group there was also a German lady and an Australian (!), So I helped the teacher with the English translation of the explanations .... I was surprised and happy to see that, despite everything, we could understand it just fine :-)
At dinner there was a strange atmosphere, he noted that there was an excitement that meandered among the people, and it was just what he wanted still awake and active.
again Thursday workshop, morning and afternoon (yes, we have just done so much work!).
From Friday, the forum! Friday, Saturday and Sunday flew by quickly, between the studio for a taste of new techniques, visits to the numerous (and beautiful!) stand the associations of embroidery and lace, conferences, and, of course, stands stores
:-))) I bought, of course, a bit 'of books ... could I pass up?
Sunday, the return: the weariness fell upon us all at once, and the trip was very quiet and peaceful. The distance from home has been felt at the time when we were more tired and vulnerable, and return, and for all, it was a pleasure.
The greatest thing in the forum for me was the opportunity to meet and know so many new and different: Lena from Sweden to the OIDFA, Liselotte from Germany, Australia Rose, Cristina Venice Mannocci and Asmara, which was very nice and a welcome companion of lunches and dinners (and it was really a great pleasure for me and her neighbor Patricia!)
I just hope we can return in two years!
